Best Drugstore Beauty Products

When it comes to drugstore products I kind of tend to shy away from them. Because I always thought "bad" ingredients would be in them especially because of the cheap prices. I have sensitive skin, you would think purchasing an expensive face wash full of oils and vitamins that is good for your skin would be the way to go. Always being a prestige cosmetic lover, I have spent tons of money on over priced skincare and makeup. Since branching out to the drugstore beauty scene I have found a few products that I now prefer to reach for.

Skincare is so important to me, so the products that I use tend to be  all natural, chemical free, and no parabens. Any ingredient you can't pronounce or doesn't look right should not be near your skin. 

Now it is difficult to find makeup removers that actually "remove" my makeup. The last few years I have used micellar waters but have never found one that appears to be close to perfection. Garnier makes an amazing micellar water that removes all my makeup in one swipe, without leaving my skin dry.

This product isn't new to me but is definitely worth a mention. I have been a fan of Alba Botanca products for awhile, my favorite line is their Acnedote line. I do have skin that runs on the dryer side but this face wash is seriously amazing. I have been super blessed to have manageable skin my whole life, but since I am a makeup artist I do tend to wear makeup most days. This face wash prevents blemishes and pesky black heads. This face wash contains willow bark extract, witch hazel, and peppermint essential oil. Even better, it is 100% vegetarian and contains no chemicals, parabens or synthetic fragrances. 

There is nothing like coming home and washing your face and slapping on a face mask with a glass of wine in hand....It's a perfect stress reliever. Acure Organics won't let you down with their Cell Stimulating Facial Mask. It contains CoQ10 and sea buckthorn oil that provides moisture for your skin, not to mention the plant stem cells and chlorella growth factor to regenerate and firm the skin. After using this mask your skin becomes more firm and starts to show a glow, people will be calling you Babyface. 

Moisturizers are total hit and miss with me, I have dry skin so I need a lot of moisture without feeling greasy. Simple Skincare products are unscented and contain the purest possible skin loving ingredients. Their Replenishing Rich Facial Moisturizer gives double moisture without the grease factor.  

Since I am a makeup artist cosmetics are what I am most drawn to when walking into any drugstore. When it comes to mascara I like my lashes to have fullness and length. I am a big fan of Benefits Roller Lash Mascara, a perfect alternative for this product is the Mabelline Lash Sensational. You literally need two swipes and instant false lash effect. 

Lipstick is probably my favorite part of the makeup world, you can transform your look from day to night with a swipe of a doe foot applicator. Revlon makes a mean liquid matte lipstick. They provide moisture because they don't fully dry on the lip, which can be tricky but the colors they provide are so vivid it's insane. 

I love perfume, but a body mist full of essential oils and purified water? Yes please! Zum Mist is a fantastic brand, my favorite scent is the Frankincense and Myrrh. When spritzing this mist you feel the bad vibes and nasty funk instantly leave your soul. This scent is very unique in that it is deep, woodsy and sweet and lasts all day because of the essential oils. I am definitely looking forward to trying out more scents from this brand.
